New Explorations into Science, Technology & Math School
New Explorations into Science,Technology & Math School is a top rated, public school located in New York, NY. It has 1,743 students in grades K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 19 to 1. According to state test scores, 98% of students are at least proficient in math and 98% in reading. NESTM is New York City Department of Education citywide school for Gifted & Talented students, grades K to 12. offering an academically challenging curriculum designed to produce young scholars who are distinguished by their intellectual capabilities, communication skills, capacity for leadership, ethical values, and readiness to contribute to the betterment of the world at large.
They are the only public Gifted & Talented school in New York City in which students can move seamlessly from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Tribeca Learning Center
What sets Tribeca apart from others in our neighborhood is the size. With a maximum capacity of 186 children, they have only one class on a grade level. We know all our children and are able to customize the school experience for every child. While classes are heterogeneous, a talented staff differentiates instruction for each student so that all are being challenged, all are being encouraged to achieve beyond previous levels.

Lower Lab School
At the Lower Lab School, the focus is to meet the needs of students identified as gifted and talented, which is defined as someone who shows or has the potential to show an exceptional level of performance in one or more areas of expression.
The goal is to provide an appropriate education for those students in one or several ways: acceleration, curriculum compacting, and in-depth study that extends upon the mandated to include activities that focus on the evaluation and analysis of information as well as creating new knowledge. A key part of the Lab education is the core belief that students learn from each other. students are equipped to drive one another’s thinking to new and exciting places. Children are encouraged to explore new strategies, to defend their thinking, and to become critical thinkers and problem solvers. Lab focuses on educating the whole child by including a social-emotional component in the curriculum, thinking about the greater community, and adding a variety of programs that teach by engaging different senses.
South Bronx Classical Charter School
Classical Charter Schools prepares K-8th grade scholars in the South Bronx to excel in college preparatory high schools.
